ANTM and BNTM

A bit disappointed (but just a bit) that Chantal didn’t win ANTM 9. She had done so well until the very end, just a shame that she managed to fuck her last catwalk in the final. I still believe she is far prettier and better model than Saleisha, but Saleisha did a great catwalk. Did she deserve to win? mmm, dunno. It was a pretty tough decision for the judges I think.

Anyway, all that is OLD news, as at last, the new season of Britain’s Next Top Model started last Monday. They say that this time it’s going to be more bitchy and more high fashion than ever. I believe the bitchy bit, not the high fashion bit. After the first episode I could reach the conclusion that this time they have gone for younger girls (how many 18 year olds can you get?) who tend to be more inmature (of course), childish (of course) and bitchy (idem). The oldest one (24 sweet years of age) seems like the grandmother of all.

And yes, after just one episode and just one photoshoot, I’ve got my top 5 favourites:

Rachel

Definetely my favourite of them all. Perfect porcelain skin, interesting look, deep eyes, high cheekbones. I recall the judges said that if they had to pick a winner from that photoshoot it would be Rachel. I hope she wins, or at least gets very far in the competition!

Alex

 There’s something about her I don’t like. I can’t quite point my finger at what specifically, but I’ve got a bad feeling. However, I think she’s gorgeous, delicious lips, beautiful eyebrows and young skin. So pretty “au natural”!

Charlotte

She is so charming, you can see her eyes sparkle with life and beauty. I really liked her as a person in the first episode, she showed quite a good personality, and we all know by now that personality counts as much as good looks! And she looks good as well

Lisa-Jane

She looks so different in this picture to what she looks in person! And still, she managed to pull a damn good picture. The judges were right, though; you can see a bit of panic in her eyes, but her face has got so much character! I love her personality and her edginess. I really hope she gets far in the competition.

And lastly, Lauren. She is the last of my favourites because of her cockiness. She is not as arrogant as Stefanie (by the way, two arrogant Stephanies in a row… bad omen? Stephanie in the last series was a pain in the ass, a gorgeous pain in the ass though; And the Stephanie of this series seems to be more of the same. Calling house meetings on the first night? Blimey!) Sorry, back to Lauren: she is cocky but not arrogant; you can see her attitude in this picure and in her footage of the episode.

Other girls that I have some sympathy for are Leanne and Catherine. I feel sorry for Martha, Aaron and Musayeroh (I can’t pronounce her name) because I think they are going to be of the first ones to go, as I don’t thin they have much model potential. I am also happy that Sophie was the first to go. She couldn’t be more boring looking.

 I can only say that I am very excited about this new series. I am missing Janathan Pang and Paula Hamilton though. The new judges may be a bit more up-market, but they don’t seem as good as the old ones. Shame.
