Inspired by this blog about Scarlett Johansson’s new brunette look, I have decided to write a little post about beautiful women. Coincidentally, I have also been watching the new season of America’s Next Top Model, so the inspiration is not such a coincidence!
The thing is, when I come to think of girls who I believe are truly gorgeous, they all are brunettes! More to the point, when they’ve tried to go blonde, it didn’t work at all.
Here’s a few examples:
- Natalie Portman.
I really like Natalie Portman. I’ve always thought she’s the most attractive girl ever. And she’s a damn good actress too!
The thing is, she’s pretty much been faithful to her hair colour all her life and only in very few occasions she’s gone for the lighter shade of brown for her hair.
- Jessica Alba.
Jessica Alba is gorgeous too. But she doesn’t have that ephemeral beauty that Portman has. And, she’s done lots of highlights and gone fully blonde a few times. For me, it doesn’t work. Brunette is so much better.
- Demi Moore
I’ve just been trying to find a picture of her as a blonde and couldn’t find one! Why would you want to change that silky, smooth black hair for anything else?
- Katie Holmes
That is the blondest picture I’ve managed to get of her. And she must be, what, 15? in that picture… I think Katie Holmes is STUNNING. Everytime I see a picture of her I say to myself” God, she’s so pretty”. Every single time.
And last but not least,
- Christy Turlington.
She always was my favourite of all the supermodels back in the nineties. And she hasn’t stopped working! Which is good because I keep seeing her on telly in adverts… I don’t think she ever went blonde, which is very unusual in the modelling world (where stylists and designers are always looking for change)

- Angelina Jolie – sometimes scary but so gorgeous
- Selma Blair - serene and classic beauty
- Cheryl Cole – And she’s so nice in the X-Factor too!
- Rihanna – She’s got quite an angular face, but very pretty though!
