I haven’t been updating the blog much lately. And it’s not because I am lazy (which I am), it’s more because I don’t feel like there are enough things worth blogging about happening in my life lately.
We had a couple of quite eventful months earlier this year and that quite drained me psychologically for a while. Now I just don’t find anything really worth the effort of sitting down behind my desk to write about. I rather make cards 
(my other blog IS updated more regularly, I must admit…)
I could talk about our wedding anniversary in the New Forest (actually, I might do this another time) or how Jon’s car is now poorly and has made us revise our finances from head to toe.
I am a very tight person, very frugal – they say in these parts of the world – and having to think about money issues is not one of my fortes. It makes me nervous and uncomfortable. I am happy with knowing exactly how much I have and how much I am allowed to spend every month. Full stop. So having to rethink our finances has left me a bit “chof”, as we say in Spain… (no idea what the translation would be, but it means something like down or low in spirits).
I think it’s because I missed the Taking Back Sunday concert back in May, my brother and sister in law won’t be coming to visit as originally planned, the weather hasn’t been that great in the last week or so (come on, 14 degrees in June?), and I’ve had a few stressful days at work too…
So, no. I don’t fancy sitting down in front of the desk and talk about trivial things…

I know what you mean Maria, things have gone from bad to worse haven’t they. Expenditure expected to be spent in 2 years has been expediated exponentially 
things will settle down, it’s not all that bad. I wouldn’t tempt fate quoting Yazz but things will repair themselves over time. With the exception of my car……

Bad things happen all together so I have no doubt good times are coming. Happy to be on the other side of the phone if you need a friendly ear…

I haven’t updated for ages myself, but I’ve been so busy with the move and my parents visiting that I haven’t had a chance. Now that they’ve gone I’m quite ‘chof’ myself and the weather is getting me down too (big time!). So I’m not sure when I’ll update again… In short, I know how you feel!! x
